Hello, My Name is Emotions and I am a broken spirit…
Is this Your Name Tag?

Emotions
We live in a society where feelings are large and in charge. Many times we hear and even say….
“How do you feel today? “How do you feel about that?” What do you think?” “Go with your gut feeling.” “Do what feels right.” “That is just me.” If it feels good it has to be good.” “Moody, I am in the mode for…” “Just do it.” “Not tomorrow now!”
… but emotions should not lead your life.
When you allow your emotions and desires to take the driving seat, God is not in charge. Dethroning God in our lives and putting our feelings on the throne instead is not an insignificant thing! It brings chaos, heartache, and unhappiness. Even though the stormy ocean of emotions can be overwhelming it must be dealt with or it will drown us soon or later. If you are experiencing the weight of emotions do not fear, you do not need to be another casualty. Don’t let it claim your life. You are not powerless. Let God be in charge.
It is possible to sail your lifeboat through the stormy ocean of emotions and make it to safe harbor if God, and not your emotions, sits on the throne of your life! You cannot do this in your own strength, but with God all things are possible; and you do have the ability to do and accomplish all things with and through Him. (Mark 10:27) If God is on the throne of your life your negative emotions will surrender and make room for healthy expressions or emotions. Let God be in charge.
**Untamed emotions will- Complicate things- Proverbs 14:12, Proverbs 19:3, Proverbs 12:16, Proverbs 14:29, Get you in trouble- Proverbs 16:32, Proverbs 19:11, Proverbs 15:18 Proverbs 29:20, Cause friends to steer away from you – Proverbs 19:19, Proverbs 22:24-25
**Healthy Emotions will bring joy and keep depression away. Proverbs 21:23, Proverbs 18:14, Proverbs 17:22, Proverbs 15:15, Proverbs 15:1, Proverbs 16:20
A merry heart makes a cheerful countenance, But by sorrow of the heart the spirit is broken. Proverbs 15:13

Hope Always Brings Joy!
Hope helps us enjoy everyday. Don’t reserve joy just for weekends only. Be happy about life today, not just everybody was blessed to wake up this morning to enjoy another day…
Hope is a good thing!
*Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, Rejoice. Philippians 4:4
*The hope of the righteous brings joy, but the
expectation of the wicked will perish. Proverbs 10:28
*Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer. Romans 12:12
*Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. 4 Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything. If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you. James 1:2-5
Wisdom will multiply your days and add years to your life. Proverbs 9:11
STOP! DON’T BECOME DISTRESSED
Guard your heart!
Anxiety in a man’s heart weighs him down.
There is a process toward the place of distress. It looks something like this.
(1) DISBELIEF in the PROMISES requiring faith - And without faith it is impossible to please him, for whoever would draw near to God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him. Hebrews 11:6 *Other verses for encouragement -> Matthew 24:35 2 Corinthians 5:7, 1 John 5:4
(2) DISCOURAGED by the PROBLEMS opposing faith - I pray that God, the source of hope, will fill you completely with joy and peace because you trust in him. Then you will overflow with confident hope through the power of the Holy Spirit. Romans 15:13 *Other verses for encouragement ->Proverbs 3:5-6, Galatians 6:9, James 4:7, 2 Thessalonians 3:13
(3) DISENGAGED from the PEOPLE and PLACE of faith - Let us think of ways to motivate one another to acts of love and good works. And let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage one another, especially now that the day of his return is drawing near. Hebrews 10:24-25 *Other verses for encouragement ->Proverbs 27:17, Mark 3:25
(4) DISTRESSED as a PERSON without faith -May God himself, the God of peace, sanctify you through and through. May your whole spirit, soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. 24 The one who calls you is faithful, and he will do it. 1 Thessalonians 5:23-24 *Why are you downcast, O my soul? Why so disturbed within me? Put your hope in God, for I will yet praise him, my Savior and my God.Psalm 43:5 *Other verses for encouragement ->Psalm 18:2, , Ecclesiastes 4:10-12, Prov. 12:25
>>>>>KEEP BELIEVING GOD’S PROMISES<<<<
God is FAITHFUL TO FULFIL His promises.
ABOVE ALL ELSE guard your heart, for it determines the course of your life. Proverbs 4:23
Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness. Isaiah 41:10

One who is slack in his work is brother to one who destroys. Proverbs 18:9

There are only two ways to live your life when you don’t see it as a gift.
One is as though nothing matters so you drift away day by day, and you miss today, because it wasn’t important. You are a Dead Man Walking.
The other is as though everything today is about tomorrow so you live way to fast, and you miss today, because it wasn’t important. You are a Dead Man Running.
If we live our days as if there were a pause, fast forward, or rewind button on them, we would surely miss today ~> the gift of now.
Live your life to the fullest as God intended!
You are only ONE STEP, ONE DECISION away from the PERFECT will of God.
Teach us to number our days aright, that we may gain a heart of wisdom.
Wisdom will multiply your days and add years to your life.
Fear of the LORD lengthens one’s life, but the years of the wicked are cut short. Proverbs 10:27
Why is “I always do it this way” a lame excuse?
Are you open to step out of your comfort zone or are you stuck in the mud? I know that it goes against our instincts, but every once in a while we need to actually think about why it is we do what we do and if it is actually working for us. If we dare to take a good honest look at why we do things and their results, we may find ourselves in need of some adjustments.
Think about it. If you were on a plane enjoying your flight, and then because of a sudden illness, a pilot replacement is needed. Whom would you rather have in the pilot cabin, a pilot that trained 10 years ago and who is used to doing things “the old way” or one who is current with the latest developments in his or her field?
We should be open to examine the things we do, why we do them, and if they are really working to place us where we could gain the most advantage. It is all about our willingness to listen and learn. It is about being open to learn, unlearn and relearn when needed.
Give instruction to a wise man, and he will be yet wiser: teach a just man, and he will increase in learning. Proverbs 9:9
Only a teachable person can gain wisdom. All the good advice in the world won’t help if you don’t have a teachable spirit. Being gifted, talented or accomplished is not good enough.
We must be teachable. We cannot learn or discover better ways of doing things if we already “know it all” or won’t be taught.
Teachable – to be ready and willing to be taught.
*What does “I always do it this way” say about you? It says that you are stuck in the mud.
Don’t be stuck in old ways of doing things if better ways to do these things are available!
Hugs are Better than Chicken Soup!
Mothers, have you hugged your family today?
Hugs can bring a great sense of connection and belonging into your life. They’re free and within reach. When you give a hug, you also receive one. How many hugs do we need each day? All you can give and receive. The more the better! You will hear different opinions on the specific number of hugs people need every day, but all will agree on the great benefits of sharing a hug. Go start the chain and make hugs part of your day. There are no limitations on age. Children love hugs and they still need them when they are older too. We all do!
Her children respect and bless her;

“Many women have done wonderful things,
but you’ve outclassed them all!” Proverbs 31:28-29

And when did we see you a stranger and welcome you, or naked and clothe you? Disarming Fear– Freedom from Fear -2-
Freedom from Fear
False Evidence Appearing Real (f.e.a.r.)
There is no fear in love; but perfect loves cast out fear: because fear has torment.
Faith and fear do not co-exist they cancel each other.
Both faith and fear are unshakable beliefs in an unseen future. Neither is merely emotional. But both are spiritual forces. The only difference between the two is that one believes that God will come through for you. The other believes He wont.
God says that He has not given you a spirit of fear, but, He has given you a spirit of love and self-control. (2 Timothy 1:7 For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.) They are your most powerful weapons in your battle for freedom as you deal with the emotions of fear, doubt, and worry. God’s love wins the battle for you!
God’s Power +Yourself discipline = a powerful force
Love drives out fear, but where do we find perfect Love? The only place where you can experience perfect Love is in an intimate relationship with your heavenly father.
As you develop that intimate relationship with him, His perfect Love will become more and more real to you and your fears will become more unrealistic than your faith. You must take a stand.
That is something that should really make us stop and think. When fear creeps up inside of you, it should raise a red flag that you need to continue deepening your relationship with God.
So how do you begin controlling emotions of fear, doubt and worry? Your faith in the unyielding love of your heavenly Father is what removes fear from your mind regardless of your circumstances.
God has promised: “ For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. The arte plans for good and not disaster, to give you a future and a hope.” Jeremiah 29:11
5 Steps to Help You Win Your Battle Against Fear
1 Recognize the fearful thought as a threat. *2 Corinthians 10:5 We destroy arguments and every lofty opinion raised against the knowledge of God, and take every thought captive to obey Christ,
2 Think of God’s promises for that situation. There is a list of some verses to get you started at the end of this post. *Joshua 1:8 Keep this Book of the Law always on your lips; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful.
3Pray and tell God your concern. *Matthew 21:22 -And whatever you ask in prayer, you will receive, if you have faith.”
4Praise God for His promises, and faithfulness to keep each one of them too. *Psalm 50:23 He who brings an offering of praise and thanksgiving honors and glorifies Me; and he who orders his way aright [who prepares the way that I may show him], to him I will demonstrate the salvation of God.
5 Refuse to worry about it anymore. If it comes to your mind again, confess that you have given it over to God in prayer and begin praising Him for hearing your prayers and that the prayers of the righteous avails much – *James 5:16
No matters how many times fear tries to return, continue to repeat step 5.
Eventually the devil will get the hint** . James 4:7 Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.I Corinthians 15:57
——–
Verses to keep you strong and encouraged
No special formula is needed to pray over your situation. As you read and discover treasures in God’s word, mark them, and pray them over you in faith. Use your own words if you want to, but do pray His truths. Pray believing and expecting the blessing and love of God to breathe faith and life over you and it will! —– For example - Psalm 23:4 You could say, confess or pray – Even when I walk through difficult or scary situations I will not dread or be in fear because God is with me. He protects me and guides me. I am safe.
VERSES(Just a sample of the many verses on this topic found in the Bible.)

Isaiah 41:10 Fear not [there is nothing to fear], for I am with you; do not look around you in terror and be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen and harden you to difficulties, yes, I will help you; yes, I will hold you up and retain you with My [victorious] right hand of rightness and justice.
1 John 4:18 \There is no fear in love [dread does not exist], but full-grown (complete, perfect) love turns fear out of doors and expels every trace of terror! For fear brings with it the thought of punishment, and [so] he who is afraid has not reached the full maturity of love [is not yet grown into love's complete perfection].
Psalm 18:2 The Lord is my Rock, my Fortress, and my Deliverer; my God, my keen and firm Strength in Whom I will trust and take refuge, my Shield, and the Horn of my salvation, my High Tower.
Philippians 4:13 I have strength for all things in Christ Who empowers me [I am ready for anything and equal to anything through Him Who infuses inner strength into me; I am self-sufficient in Christ's sufficiency].
Philippians 4:6 Do not fret or have any anxiety about anything, but in every circumstance and in everything, by prayer and petition (definite requests), with thanksgiving, continue to make your wants known to God.
Luke 1:37For with God nothing is ever impossible and no word from God shall be without power or impossible of fulfillment.
Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the thoughts and plans that I have for you, says the Lord, thoughts and plans for welfare and peace and not for evil, to give you hope in your final outcome.
Joshua 1:9 Have not I commanded you? Be strong, vigorous, and very courageous. Be not afraid, neither be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.
James 4:7 So be subject to God. Resist the devil [stand firm against him], and he will flee from you.
James 5:16 Confess to one another therefore your faults (your slips, your false steps, your offenses, your sins) and pray [also] for one another, that you may be healed and restored [to a spiritual tone of mind and heart]. The earnest (heartfelt, continued) prayer of a righteous man makes tremendous power available [dynamic in its working].

What do Wise People Do?
Wise people seek, find and acknowledge God.
There is no wisdom, no insight, no plan that can succeed against the LORD. Proverbs 21:30
| ‘Knowledge’ is information, understanding and skills that you gain through education or experience. Knowledge changes over time. | ‘Wisdom‘ is the ability to use both earthly and spiritual knowledge to make correct judgments and decisions. It is the how – why- and when to use knowledge to make decisions or to give advise on a matter. Wisdom is timeless. |
Two Kinds of Wisdom
Who is wise and understanding among you? Let them show it by their good life, by deeds done in the humility that comes from wisdom. But if you harbor bitter envy and selfish ambition in your hearts, do not boast about it or deny the truth. Such “wisdom” does not come down from heaven but is earthly, unspiritual, demonic. For where you have envy and selfish ambition, there you find disorder and every evil practice. But the wisdom that comes from heaven is first of all pure; then peace-loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial and sincere. Peacemakers who sow in peace reap a harvest of righteousness.James 3:13-18
————————
Seek Wisdom from Above
Job 36:26 How great is God, beyond our understanding!
Prov 3:5,7a Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding…. Do not be wise in your own eyes.
James 1:5 If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him.
Ephesians 5:15-17 Look carefully then how you walk, not as unwise but as wise, making the best use of the time, because the days are evil. Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is.
James 3:17 But the wisdom from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, open to reason, full of mercy and good fruits, impartial and sincere.
Proverbs 3:13-18 Blessed is the one who finds wisdom, and the one who gets understanding, for the gain from her is better than gain from silver and her profit better than gold. She is more precious than jewels, and nothing you desire can compare with her. Long life is in her right hand; in her left hand are riches and honor. Her ways are ways of pleasantness, and all her paths are peace. She is a tree of life to those who lay hold of her; those who hold her fast are called blessed.
Proverbs 24:3-7 By wisdom a house is built, and by understanding it is established; by knowledge the rooms are filled with all precious and pleasant riches. A wise man is full of strength, and a man of knowledge enhances his might, for by wise guidance you can wage your war, and in abundance of counselors there is victory. Wisdom is too high for a fool; in the gate he does not open his mouth.
Proverbs 23:23 Buy truth, and do not sell it; buy wisdom, instruction, and understanding.
Proverbs 22:17-19 Incline your ear, and hear the words of the wise, and apply your heart to my knowledge, for it will be pleasant if you keep them within you, if all of them are ready on your lips. That your trust may be in the Lord, I have made them known to you today, even to you.
Proverbs 1:7 The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge; fools despise wisdom and instruction.
