Holiday Traditions Countdown!

The cheerful heart has a continual feast.

Baking Time Countdown

Yesterday, I received an unexpected bag of Christmas goodies. The treats were so much fun to receive that we are paying it forward. To receive bake goods and treats just brings the holiday cheers home is a special way. It is one of those special things of the season. In the bag there were different kinds of cookies and rice treats. The goodies were great, but to know that someone took the time to prepare it, and put it together as a gift  for us made it so much more sweeter, and more special  than a store-bought item. It was a homemade gift one that we enjoyed and was received with joy too. It is all gone now. 🙂  Tomorrow we are baking cookies. We will be baking oatmeal cookies, chocolate chip cookies and peanut butter cookies. I will also try to add bananas cookies too, but no promise there. lol I think cookies are perfect choice for food gifts because you can try one and know if they are good before you send them out.

Do you have any Christmas traditions that you follow with your family?

  1. Hi akcielo, there is a time for everything even to cry but Christmas is a time of rejoicing and I love your traditions …can I come and join you? : -D

I’m known as the Christmas cook all year, I cook goodies and give them to my neighbours, friends, Doctors and staff, the people I brought my Scooter from, we are friends now and anyone else who comes along, why because it gives them joy and me too and this is a great reward.

As you said …The treats were so much fun to receive that we are paying it forward, this is how I feel having been blessed so much I want to give also ..when I was young it was flowers, then special cards, now my stories, Power points and e -mails and always my baked goodies, do you think if I sent you some homemade shortbread you would receive them as cookies or biscuits crumbs ..perhaps I will just send them in my spirit.

    Christ-mas Love Anne.

That is great! Sharing does make the joy of Christmas greater. 🙂 I’ll be happy to take the crumbs! Have a sweet Holiday! 🙂
